Puja and Pandals

So the festive air is rising again. The exictement floating in the environment as the festival seasons arriving near.
But this year i am enjoying this season sitting on my laptop and just surfing the internet or watching movies. No holidays this year on Dusshara :(

Walking down my memory lane i find many moments attached with this occasion. In my city there used to be pandals, atleast one in each locality. Each much more grander and happening than another one. There used to be usual night outs during navaratre, chanting bhajans all night and that experience was also a memorable one.
I know in this era when rock, pop and hip-hop music taking a lead talking about bhajans is out of stream, but sometimes when you are in a mental disturbance than rather than hearing to pink floyd or metallica these bhajans serve as a good dose for mental relief.

Usual traffic jams in the central areas of city. All of the market being much more alive and during night some of the big malls gives a feel of LA.
Usually rush increases more in Holy Places(mandirs etc.) compared to others. All used to visit to pray for much more secure and safe future. But i do think GOD also get busy in these days to listen to your prayers. So in my opinion one should ask for God's help in offbeat days or in regular life rather than going on certain days and also only once in a year.

Also missing that good food, sweets all at home. It has been one and a half year here in college and that semseterly visits to home i just want to eat all sweets and that food. Yummy!!!!
But here its like a hell when on such festive ocassions you r packed in your room. That time it fells "sab kuch chor kar chale jaoo ghar" let there be classes, let there be labs.....
ahaa missing home so much....
me going to talk home....

nice thinking that god gets busy in puja days and that we should also pray in the off-beat days...

i reminisce here about a particular kabir/rahim's doha.
