Trip To LohGarh

Date: 5th Sep. 2010

This weekend plan came in a flash. Was playing cards with IBM friends. And they asked that what are we doing this weekend. I said, nothing that serious. They have already planned a trip to LohGarh, and wanted me to join them. And around 1o'clock, the things were in place and there was 3 people who cancelled and they had place to accommodate me. So here is the experience of one of the most serene natural beauty.

Left at morning 0800hrs. Reached that placed around 1000hrs. The bus driver sucked ass. He first didnt knew the way and took us to the wrong side. We had to trek about 3kms uphill.
Enjoyed it in starting but cursed gravity a lot. Even after that the view was the only relaxing element.
(see image above)

There are some shops uphill where the "actual" way for Lohgarh starts. Can have some snacks and
that are also not costly and good in taste. Now the main trekking starts for the fort. That is a awesome
experience as there are certain shortcuts on the way up. They keeps the adrenaline level up.
The path is very slippery and it rains too unpredictable. So get in your best shoes if planning to go.

The fort is very different from other forts I have seen. It doesnt have a structure which is too be admired
or many many rooms with secret paths. The top of the fort is the most amazing spot though.
It is a bumpy grassland and the mist makes it looks more divine.

After that, there is a long trekking for the waterfall. The way is many spots to capture moments and also very slippery. On that path its better to make own way as the original path is covered in red mud which turns to be walking on butter. The fall is not that great but after trekking for that long, that is sure a relaxing place. The overall experience of the trip was memorable as got to meet and make new friends.
